Es una temporada de vacaciones de sol para la familia Bannister en su viaje al sur de California para quedarse con la tía Bárbara (Shelley Long), que les sorprende con una nueva mascota llamada Eva (voz de Peyton List). Todo el mundo está enamorado de Eva - excepto por el perro de los Bannister, Zeus (voz de Joey Lawrence), que ve lo travieso que el animal es cuando no hay nadie más alrededor.
